Amadou Onana ‘finished at Aston Villa’ after Morgan Rogers reveal
Amadou Onana may have played his final game for Aston Villa following recent developments elsewhere in the squad.
Villa know that a major sale will likely be necessary this summer if they want to balance out their current PSR concerns.
Unai Emery’s side are at serious risk of facing heavy fines or even a points deduction as they continue to toe the line in regards to the Premier League’s financial constraints.
Monchi must tread carefully with the club’s transfer dealings during the summer window, as they still need to bolster the squad in some areas, despite their perilous situation off the pitch.

Villa’s Rogers stance will result in Onana sale
The B6 outfit need to return more profit on their transfer dealings if they want to create room to add more new faces this summer, and that looks as though it will force them into reluctantly selling a few of their key players.
Amadou Onana has been tipped for a big-money exit following interest from Saudi Arabia. The midfielder joined the club for £50million last summer, but could still net Villa a substantial profit if they could capitalise on the tendency for Saudi Arabian clubs to flaunt their cash.
Morgan Rogers is another man who has been touted for a possible exit, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested in taking the England international.
However, it has now emerged that Villa have no interest in entertaining offers for Rogers, despite their PSR concerns, according to the Daily Mail (17 June).
While that will be a welcome update for Villa fans, who undoubtedly won’t want to see any of Villa’s key stars depart, it could well spell the end for Onana’s time in the second city as a result.

Villa should look to sacrifice Onana
Rogers’ departure from Villa Park is seemingly not an option at this moment in time, and that could have huge implications for Onana’s future.
The Belgian midfielder has shown flashes of brilliance since joining the club from Everton last summer, but those flashes have been too few and far between for him to really justify the £50m that Villa paid for him.

That must surely make him a serious candidate to be sacrificed by the Villans, in order to help keep their very top players at the club.
Onana’s exit wouldn’t aid their PSR standing as much as a ‘pure profit’ sale, such as Jacob Ramsey, would, but it could turn out to be something of a compromise between Villa trying to keep their best players, but also balancing out their spending.
If an offer did come in from the Middle East or elsewhere that would see Villa add a profit of £30 or £40 million, it would be a huge surprise if they opted to turn it down.
