Aston Villa ‘given transfer seal of approval for Rangers gem Raskin’
Aston Villa could be lining up an approach for Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin.
The Villans are looking ahead to a busy summer and could kickstart their business with the addition of yet another Belgian midfielder.
After two and a half seasons at Ibrox, the 24-year-old could be on the move, and a Villa Park switch could be entirely possible.
This looks to have taken a step forward for Unai Emery’s side after a seal approval was granted to Raskin, with the transfer window on the horizon.

Raskin could be set to join Aston Villa
With Europa League football in the pipeline for the season, the need for strength in depth is once again going to be paramount in B6.
This looks set to start with the addition of Zepiquno Redmond on a free transfer from Feyenoord, with the summer yet to truly get underway.
There is plenty of business still to be done, with Raskin emerging as a potential Aston Villa target ready for the new campaign.
The ex-Standard Liege man has been a standout operator for Rangers, particularly in the past 12 months, and could now earn a move to the Midlands.
This move has been backed by former Gers head coach Philippe Clement, who believes the midfielder is ready for the next step in his career.
In an interview in his homeland, as per The Scottish Sun (5 June), he said: “I think he’s ready. I’m convinced Nico would fit perfectly in the Premier League.
“I’m not saying he would be in a top-six team now. But just below that, so he can calmly adapt to the level. Make no mistake: Nico has a lot of room to grow.
“He has to make the right choice now, and if he leaves and gets enough playing time at his new club, he will only get better. I would put my hand in the fire for that.”

Aston Villa recieve Raskin boost from Clement
Last summer, Monchi and Co. opted to bring in Amadou Onana in an attempt to shore up the midfield for the upcoming campaign.
Even with Ross Barkley, Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara also available, it is clear that new options are still in the pipeline.
Raskin could prove to be a useful asset as a point of difference, given his shorter frame and ability to get on the ball and make things happen.
Stat (Scottish Premiership 24/25) | Nicolas Raskin |

This is more akin to his international teammate, Tielemans, as opposed to other, more defensive options within the squad at present.
As a result, his addition could make sense, but may spell bad news for the likes of Enzo Barrenechea and Lamare Bogarde moving forward.
