‘Lucas Digne to agree Aston Villa exit’ amid £20m transfer update at Bournemouth
Lucas Digne could soon confirm his departure from Aston Villa.
The France international has been an ever-present at Villa Park since completing his £25million move from Everton in January 2022.
This has seen the 31-year-old play a key role in pushing the Villans up the Premier League and into the Champions League last campaign.
With that being said, his sizable wages look to be a problem in claret and blue, while a deal edges closer to completion at Bournemouth.

Digne could complete Aston Villa summer exit
It would prove to be a bold move to part ways with the former Barcelona man, given how many years of positive service he has offered in B6.
As useful an asset as he may be, the fact that he is on a reported £120k per week [Capology, 8 June] could become more of an issue for the hierarchy.
Nassef Sawiris will be keen on freeing up as much money as possible to help form a competitive squad ready for the upcoming season.
Unfortunately for Digne, he could prove to be on the chopping block, especially as an alternative option continues to be eyed by Villa.
This has seen Adrien Truffert linked with a Villa Park switch, but there is plenty of competition for his signature as it stands.
The Sun on Sunday have reported (8 June, page 59) that the B6 club look set to hijack Bournemouth’s move for the Rennes captain as the Cherries edge closer to agreeing a £20m deal.
If this were to be successful, the Villans would have little choice but to move Digne on in order to continue their cost-cutting measures.

Truffert could replace Digne at Aston Villa
With Ian Maatsen, the Villans have a future-proof left-back solution, but could be in need of depth if the ex-Everton man is to leave.
It is unclear where Digne could leave to, but there is bound to be a suitor for the left-back given the qualities that he possesses.

Truffert could represent an ideal alternative this summer, given his age and experience in the game as captain of Stade Rennais.
If the Villans can beat Bournemouth to the £20m deal for the defender, it could prove to be an ideal beginning to the window.
