Plymouth next manager: Ex-Aston Villa star slashed to odds-on favourite
Aston Villa could be set to see a familiar face take over as head coach of Plymouth Argyle.
There have been several aces from Villa Park who have gone on to kick-start a career in management in recent years.
This has seen B6 icons like Savo Milosevic and Olof Mellberg take up jobs in recent years, with the Swede recently departing his role at St. Louis City.
Now it appears that another former Villa man could be set to continue their journey as a manager with a switch to Plymouth on the table.

Plymouth could name former Aston Villa man as manager
The Villans will be keen to see as many of their ex-players take up a role elsewhere after calling time on their playing career.
There will be hope in the current crop in the Midlands that a number of them can become coaches, with someone like Tyrone Mings feeling like an obvious candidate.
The time for the England international to take up a role in the dugout isn’t yet upon us, while it is well underway for a former Villa man.
Tom Cleverley has already begun his journey as a first-team manager after guiding Watford to a respectable mid-table finish in the Championship last season.

This was his first role as a full-time boss after finishing his career with the Hornets, having made 37 appearances on loan at Villa Park in the 2014/15 season.
As is the Watford way, the 35-year-old was shockingly sacked at the end of the campaign, but could be set for an instant return to the EFL with Plymouth Argyle.
This comes after the Englishman emerged as odds-on to take up the role with BetVictor (6 June), marking him as a 2/1 favourite ahead of Jack Wilshere and Des Buckingham.

Cleverley to be named Plymouth Argyle manager
After such a positive season with Watford, there is no doubt that the ex-Manchester United man would represent a coup at Home Park.
After the failings of Wayne Rooney, the Pilgrims may worry about hiring a former player again, but a move for Cleverley would be less risky.
It will be interesting to see if Argyle take the punt and make a move for the odds-on favourite as the summer window looms for the League One side.
