Leroy Sane signs, Douglas Luiz returns – Monchi’s Aston Villa transfer XI

Aston Villa are likely to have a turbulent summer filled with both incoming and outgoing transfers.

The Villans aren’t in the greatest position due to PSR, but will still have a lengthy shortlist of potential deals to improve their squad.

This will be down to the work of Monchi to work within the financial boundaries in B6 to add to a side ready to compete in the Europa League.

With that in mind, Villa News has drawn up a starting line-up of potential transfers that the Spaniard could make throughout the upcoming window.

Joan Garcia could replace Emi Martinez at Aston Villa

There has been no shortage of exit rumours surrounding Villa’s number 23 and the World’s Number One, Martinez, ahead of the summer window.

If the Argentina international is to depart, Joan Garcia could prove to be the perfect replacement after a stellar season with Espanyol in LaLiga.

Ahead of the 24-year-old, experienced pro Alessio Romagnoli and 21-year-old Diego Coppola could provide some excellent defensive depth at Villa Park.

This Italian duo could be joined by the recently relegated Leif Davies, who could represent a youthful alternative to Lucas Digne, and the previously linked Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo.

With this quartet, Unai Emery would have an injection of top league experience with an element of youthful exuberance, which would certainly be useful moving forward.

Douglas Luiz could complete Aston Villa return

Similar things could be said about the potential new look midfield, which could see the comeback of fan favourite Luiz after a nightmare spell at Juventus.

The Brazil international was loved in the Midlands and would certainly represent a positive signing if he were to return in the summer.

Alongside the Juve man, Sverre Nypan could be the midfielder to represent one for the future after making 67 first-team appearances for Rosenborg at just 18 years old.

These two could form an extremely dynamic midfield, especially if joined by wantaway PSG man Kang-In Lee, who has continuously been linked with a Parc Des Princes exit.

The versatility of the 24-year-old could represent a better option than Marco Asensio, who could also make a B6 return in the coming weeks and months.

Aston Villa could pounce on Leroy Sane free transfer

Despite having Donyell Malen ready to go, it does feel as if new wide-forward options are required in Emery’s squad this window.

One of those could prove to be Sane, who could be available on a free transfer if he can’t agree to a new deal with Bayern Munich before the end of the month.

The Germany international could represent the perfect player for another target, Tyler Dibling, to learn from if he completes a big-money move from Southampton.

If these deals did go through, Jonathan David could prove to be their main target, who is also set to be a free transfer signing when his Lille contract runs down.
