Marcus Rashford ‘crazy’ about transfer after Aston Villa announcement, agent spotted
Aston Villa brutally missed out on a Champions League spot on the final day of the Premier League season, which could impact their ability to spend this summer.
Villa were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United in controversial circumstances which means they will compete in the Europa League next season.
Emi Martinez could leave as Aston Villa aim to resolve any PSR issues, and their ability to recruit players for big fees and high salaries may be affected.
Marcus Rashford joined on loan from Manchester United in January, but he is now set to return to Old Trafford despite his buy option, and he could go elsewhere.

Rashford keen on Barcelona transfer
Even if Villa want to bring Rashford back, he may not be eager to return to Villa Park without Champions League football, and he also has a different destination in mind.
Rashford has been linked with Barcelona, and it now appears that he is ready to prioritise a move to the Catalan giants rather than returning to Villa.
Aston Villa | Games | Goals | Assists |

Toni Juanmarti has shared that Rashford’s agent has been spotted in a meeting in Barcelona with their sporting director Deco, and the forward is “crazy” about joining the Spanish champions this summer.
Despite Rashford carrying a £40million asking price, and a buy option at Villa, Barcelona are looking to secure a deal which would see him join on a loan with their own permanent clause attached.
Aston Villa must move on from Rashford
Unai Emery pulled off a coup when he recruited lifelong Man United star Rashford in January, following his fallout with Ruben Amorim.
Rashford arrived with plenty of hype, but this meant that he was selected over Ollie Watkins in Villa’s biggest games, despite the striker’s consistent performances until January.
This caused a stir as Watkins later admitted his frustration, and although Rashford showed glimpses of quality, he failed to have the impact he would have wanted.
Villa crashed out of the FA Cup and Champions League, while also falling short in the Premier League, with Rashford picking up an injury towards the end of the campaign.
Given the price and wages keeping Rashford would cost, it would be better for Villa to move on from him, and he now seems set on Barcelona.
