Aston Villa goalkeeper exit officially confirmed as club chief speaks out
Aston Villa have already confirmed an outbound transfer just one day after the season ended.
It is looking likely to be a busy summer at Villa Park after missing out on the Champions League on the final day.
The Villans fell to defeat against Manchester United on Sunday (26 May), leaving them stuck in sixth and in the Europa League for next campaign.
As a result, incoming and outgoing transfers are likely to be frequent in B6, with a club chief already speaking out to confirm one departure.

Aston Villa keeper completes transfer exit
There is bound to be changes in between the sticks in the Midlands this summer as Villa look set for a full refresh of their keeper position.
This is likely to see Emi Martinez complete a move away as Saudi Arabian clubs continue to show an interest in the Argentina international.
The 32-year-old was sent off against Manchester United, in what could be his final match for the Villans before moving on.
With that being said, no move has yet gone through for the ex-Arsenal man, who is far from popular among Villa fans right now.
Instead, it is his partner in crime, Robin Olsen who has found a new club after departing B6 at the end of his contract.
Malmo have confirmed the return of the Sweden international who departed the Allsvenskan club back in 2015 after a three year spell.
This represents an exciting deal for the Swedish outfit, with their director of sports, Daniel Anderson, speaking out on the deal on 26 May.
He said: ” We are very happy to bring home Robin, who has maintained a high international standard for a very long time.
“He is a stable goalkeeper who has experience from playing at the highest level, and the fact that he also comes from the club originally makes this feel great in every way.”
Olsen confirms Aston Villa switch to Malmo
There is no shock that the 35-year-old has confirmed an exit from Villa Park after a largely calamitous spell in claret and blue.
Stat | Robin Olsen |
Appearances | 22 |
Goals conceded | 44 |
Clean sheets | 4 |
Despite keeping a clean sheet this season against Brentford, the Swede has typically struggled and frustrated supporters with a sizable number of goals conceded.
Olsen’s departure will now leave room for a new keeper option, like Lucas Chevalier, to come in and have a positive impact for the Villans.
