Aston Villa to make ‘six times profit’ after new Morgan Rogers transfer reveal

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is expected to be in high demand this summer.

The 22-year-old has notched eight goals and 10 assists in 36 Premier League matches this season in a remarkable breakout campaign.

Unai Emery will not want to lose the former Middlesbrough ace but a new reveal may force the Spaniard’s hand in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool set for Rogers swoop amid Villa concerns

Rogers has been linked with a switch to Liverpool, with Villa potentially having to sell one star by 30 June to ease Profit and Sustainability concerns.

That could leave the door open for Arne Slot’s side to make their move and add the England ace to their already strong attacking ranks.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke told Liverpool News that the Villans may have to reluctantly part ways with the Three Lions star.

He said: “Well, I don’t think in an ideal world they would be looking to get rid of him.

It would be a big markup, because the initial fee was only somewhere around £8-10million with a few add-ons from Middlesbrough, he would now be worth at least five or six times that fee.

“Finances are finances, I’m never quite sure where every club is exactly with that, but he would certainly be a saleable player at a big profit, and they might have to bite that bullet.

“I can’t believe that Unai Emery or anyone else at Aston Villa really wants to see him go.

“There would be a queue half around the block, not only from English clubs, I suspect, either.”

Rogers would be a huge loss for Villa

The B6 outfit may struggle to keep hold of Rogers if he continues on his current trajectory; he is on the path to becoming one of the best players in world football.

Emery’s side may be able to resist the advances from Merseyside and elsewhere for now, if they can secure Champions League football for next season, which will be decided on the final day.

Villa could secure another season in the Champions League by finishing in the top five.

If they fail to do so, it could be disastrous, as they may not be able to match the player’s ambitions if they are not amongst Europe’s elite once again, as he will feel like he can star at the top level after his recent exploits.

They will not want him to leave, but if an opportunity to get six times the figure that they paid for him comes along, it would make sense to take it, given the PSR issues that they still have, even after selling Jhon Duran for huge money in the winter window.

Monchi has shown a brilliant eye for talent in recent windows, and there is no doubt that he could replace the young ace if he does depart, but Villa supporters will hope it does not come to that.
