Roy Keane slams ‘disgraceful’ Neville over Aston Villa and Man United comment
Roy Keane has slammed “disgraceful” Gary Neville over a comment made on the game between Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Villa visit United in their final Premier League match, with the hosts looking to secure their first league win since March, and Unai Emery’s side looking to secure a Champions League place.
Aston Villa are clear favourites coming into the fixture, with six wins from their last eight games and having three days extra rest with Man United playing Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Keane unhappy with Neville’s lack of loyalty
Villa‘s clear advantage hasn’t stopped former United players Keane and Neville from having a disagreement ahead of the fixture.
Ahead of Aston Villa’s visit to Old Trafford on 25 May, Keane and Neville made their predictions for the game on this week’s The Overlap (21 May).
Speaking about the fixture, Neville said: “It depends what Old Trafford is going to be there. I think if they haven’t won the cup and they go out there on Sunday, it will be tough.
“If they’ve won, they will be in a good mood at least, but United have lost every home game – or it feels like at least.”
To which, Keane replied: “I think it’s going to be worse, if they win they won’t care and if they lose they’re going to be on their knees.”
Neville ultimately predicted a 2-1 win to Aston Villa, with Keane joking that his former teammate was “disgraceful” as he questioned “where’s the loyalty?”.
Pressure on Villa and Man United for different reasons
Both sides have added pressure on them to win on Sunday, with a Champions League place up for grabs for Villa and a chance for Man United to put a stop to their dreadful Premier League record.
Emery’s side will be without Youri Tielemans, who has impressed this season, and goalkeeper Emi Martinez is expected to play his final game for the club, with the Argentine attracting interest from elsewhere.
Villa currently sit level on points with Newcastle and Chelsea, and a point above Nottingham Forest in the hunt for more Champions League football next season.
