Man United midfielder sends two-word message Aston Villa deal agreed

Aston Villa are working towards strengthening the club across all fronts ahead of next season.

The Villans are set for another big summer, as they face the need to make at least one major sale before the end of June to avoid PSR complications.

Therefore, Morgan Rogers is being linked with a move away from the Birmingham-based club, while Unai Emery is also keen to make major additions to his squad.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are also focused on tying some of their best talents down to new deals at Villa Park, with Aidan Borland the latest in line to be handed a fresh deal.

Manchester United teen Tyler Fletcher reacts to Borland news

Borland took to social media to express his delight at putting pen to paper on a new contract at Aston Villa on Tuesday, 13 May.

The midfielder has emerged as one of the most talented youngsters in Villa’s setup since joining them from Celtic in 2023, with some of his performances catching Emery’s eye.

Borland’s rise saw him being rewarded with a first-team appearance in the Villans’ 2-1 win against Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup in September.

Now, Aston Villa have shown their trust in the 18-year-old further by handing him a new long-term contract.

Manchester United teenager Tyler Fletcher was among those who were happy for Borland, as he reacted to the Scot’s post on Instagram.

“Congrats bro”, Fletcher wrote on Instagram (13 May) along with a heart emoji.

Marcus Rashford to return to United after Aston Villa deal

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford looks set to return to Manchester United when his loan deal with Aston Villa expires at the end of the season.

The England international has regained his form since joining the Birmingham outfit on loan in the winter transfer window, bagging four goals and six assists in 17 games.

However, it appears Rashford does not have a future at Villa beyond this season, despite Emery’s side having an option to make his move permanent for £40million.

He does not appear to have a future at Manchester United either, with the Red Devils tipped to sell him this summer.
