‘Unai Emery to rage at Aston Villa’ if deal goes through at Newcastle United

Unai Emery is bound to fume at Aston Villa if a transfer goes through at Newcastle United in the summer.

The Villans will be hopeful of a busy transfer window this campaign, but will have to wait until the top five race comes to an end in the Premier League.

The difference between Champions or Europa League could have a telling impact on what is available for Monchi and Co. to spend.

With that being said, Newcastle already appear to have all but confirmed their place in Europe’s elite competition and as a result, are already planning their transfer business.

Emery to fume with Newcastle transfer news

It does appear that PSR problems are going to have a telling impact on Villa once again, just as they did nearly 12 months ago.

This saw the likes of Enzo Barrenachea, Samuel Iling-Junior, Ian Maatsen and Lewis Dobbin come in for deals to help balance the books.

In the end, this helped the B6 club bring in Amadou Onana for a club record fee, ready for a season in the Champions League.

It is fair to say, the biggest downside of these PSR sales saw Douglas Luiz depart and join Juventus after a superb individual campaign at Villa Park.

It is fair to say the Brazil international has struggled in Turin and has since been linked with a move away from the Old Lady ahead of the summer.

Newcastle United are the latest side to show an interest with Sebastien Vidal reporting on 13 May that a loan or reduced-price transfer is being discussed for the 27-year-old.

If this deal were to go through in the upcoming window, it is fair to say that Emery and everyone associated with Villa would be raging.

Aston Villa must not allow Luiz to join Juventus

It feels highly frustrating that the Villans were forced to part ways with one of their best players because of financial rules.

Luiz was superb for many years in B6 and took that to another level under Emery as he showcased his love for the claret and blue club.

As a result, losing the Brazilian was a heartbreaking moment for many supporters who saw Luiz as one of their own.

This may have allowed Youri Tielemans to flourish in the heart of midfield, but it has arguably weakened the squad at Villa Park.

The ex-Manchester City man may not play for Villa anymore, but it would certainly leave a sour taste in the mouth if he joined Newcastle this summer.
