Bruno Fernandes holds keys to mega Youri Tielemans transfer at Aston Villa
Youri Tielemans has been one of Aston Villa’s best players this season, but a summer exit is now possible.
Aston Villa are still fighting for a Champions League spot, and if they qualify for a second consecutive season, they will have to thank Tielemans a lot.
The Belgian has been consistently excellent all season, and has been one of the most important players in Unai Emery’s team.
However, with Villa potentially needing to make a big sale to solve any financial fair play issues, the midfielder is now being targeted for a major transfer.
Al-Hilal line up Tielemans summer transfer
Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal are targeting big-name signings from the Premier League this summer, and are keen on a deal for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
With it clear that Al-Hilal want a midfielder who can contribute creatively, Fernandes is top of their shortlist for the summer.

However, should they fail to sign the Portugal international, Tielemans is seemingly next up on their shortlist, with the Saudi side willing to spend big this summer.
talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has reported via X (12 May) that Tielemans has been targeted, but Al-Hilal will wait for a decision from Fernandes before pursuing the Aston Villa star.
Aston Villa may need Tottenham to win Europa League
Tottenham have reached the Europa League final, where they will face Man United in an all-English final, and the winner will secure a Champions League spot.
There was furore recently as Villa had their upcoming clash with Spurs moved to accommodate their participation in the final, and many Villa fans may have wished for them to lose as a result.
However, if Man United lose, and miss out on European football as a result, this could trigger an exit for Fernandes to Saudi Arabia, which would end their interest in Tielemans.
If United win and reach the Champions League, it seems unlikely that Fernandes will agree to a move, meaning that Al-Hilal will then pursue Tielemans.
Tielemans has been vital for Villa, and even if they obtain a huge fee for him, losing the midfielder would be a devastating blow for next season.
