Aston Villa player reacts to West Brom attacker exit announcement

Aston Villa are no doubt being looked at by their rivals with envy after the season they have had.

Although Unai Emery’s men fell short of making it further in the Champions League and were knocked out of the FA Cup in the semi-finals, it has still been a strong season.

A top-five finish to secure another season of Champions League football is still possible, too, with Villa putting all their efforts into league form in the final run of the campaign.

West Brom, on the other hand, fell out of the play-off spots in the final weeks of the season and are now managerless, looking to recruit for another season of Championship football.

Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba sends message after exit announcement

Emery has had to be selective with his squad this term, ensuring his strongest side has been available for the majority of games, with so many results proving to be vital.

With that in mind, youth star Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba has not been able to get a senior appearance under his belt this term and instead has had to settle for time on the bench.

Nevertheless, for a young player to be involved as a substitute during an exciting season while watching the likes of Morgan Rogers excel, it must serve as a great incentive to keep working hard.

Having formerly been a part of the West Brom academy, Jimoh-Aloba sent a message to Reyes Cleary, who spent time away from the Championship club on loan with Hartlepool this term.

Cleary posted to thank the Hartlepool supporters for the support he received during his time in the National League, and the Villa man responded with high praise, saying: “Serious player”.

Aston Villa continue push forward under Emery

The progress that has been made at Villa Park under the management of Emery has been exciting and if another European finish can be secured, that is only going to continue.

The boss has been able to use both the experience and the youth that exist in his side to produce strong performances on the pitch and push forward.

For young players like Jimoh-Aloba, the future must look promising as the boss continues to turn to the talent he has in his squad.

If the 18-year-old has already made it onto the bench in Premier League games, it is surely just a matter of time until he is allowed to show his talent for Aston Villa.
