Aston Villa Women make Natalia Arroyo announcement
Aston Villa Women have released a statement about Natalia Arroyo after the recent run of results in B6.
The Villans are ending the season in superb fashion after picking up four consecutive wins in the Women’s Super League.
Their most recent win came against West Ham as goals from Ebony Salmon, Rachel Daly, and Chasity Grant secured a 3-2 win at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on 4 May.
With the positivity of that result behind them, Villa have now made an announcement about Arroyo with one WSL clash remaining at Villa Park.

Arroyo in WSL statement at Aston Villa Women
There is no doubt that the Spanish head coach came in at a difficult moment for the B6 club after a terrible start to the season.
Despite the signings of Sabrina D’Angelo and Missy Bo Kearns, form continued to be an issue as the campaign went on.
This eventually saw Robert de Pauw face the sack after some questionable behaviour issues were mentioned around Bodymoor Heath.
After the temporary stint of Shaun Goater came to an end, Arroyo came in and has helped to turn things around with a terrific run in recent weeks.
Date | Result |
20/04/25 | Tottenham 2-3 Aston Villa |
30/04/25 | Aston Villa 5-2 Arsenal |
This has seen the 39-year-old pick up six points from a possible six against Arsenal and Tottenham in the month of April, helping to seal Villa’s survival in the WSL.
As a result of this, the former Real Sociedad head coach has been named as Manager of the Month, with the Villans congratulating Arroyo via X on 6 May.
Aston Villa Women must stand by Arroyo
It has to be said that this season has been a complete drop-off compared to the prior standards under Carla Ward in years gone by.
The English boss was adored by the B6 faithful but was dismissed and replaced in poor fashion by de Pauw, who was far from good enough.
Now with Arroyo, it feels like the Villans have got this appointment right and can look ahead to a better campaign next time around.
Despite an injury to Paula Tomas, Villa have shone in the WSL and look to be the form team heading into what could prove to be a busy summer.
