Jamie Vardy could sign for Aston Villa as Premier League transfer verdict emerges
Aston Villa have been urged to make a summer move for Jamie Vardy when he departs Leicester City.
The 38-year-old revealed last week that he would be departing the Foxes after 13 years, after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
This looks set to bring to an end a near 500-game run at the King Power, which has seen the Englishman win a Premier League and FA Cup in the East Midlands.
Now that his future is up in the air, Unai Emery could be interested in bringing Vardy to Villa Park when the summer window opens.

Vardy could sign for Aston Villa
It is fair to say that the former Fleetwood Town man has become one of the most recognisable and iconic Premier League players of recent years.
This has seen the striker net 143 goals and contribute 47 assists in the Premier League, including a record-breaking 11 goals in consecutive games.

Despite the excellence of his spell at the King Power, the former England international has struggled this season, scoring just seven goals as relegation was confirmed.
As a result, Vardy has opted to call time on his spell at the King Power, leaving him able to move freely with a Premier League move seemingly his ambition.
Speaking on the Football Fill-In (29 April), Ben Foster shared his belief that 15 sides in the league will be willing to sign the striker.
He said: “I think Jamie Vardy, genuinely I do mean this, could sign for probably 15 Premier League teams. He’s not going to be the main man, but what he will do is come off the bench and give you everything he’s got.
Co-host, Tom Ochoa, questioned: “If you were Villa…” This was before Foster cut him off to say: “He could sign for them. I see that.”
Vardy could be useful at Aston Villa under Emery
It is fair to suggest that Ollie Watkins has done well in B6 when given free rein to shine and prove his qualities as a striker.
This has seen him struggle with competition from Jhon Duran, who was eventually sold to Saudi Arabia before Marcus Rashford came in from Manchester United.
As a result, an experienced player like Vardy, who would have little expectation of game time, could prove to be a useful player to have.
There is no doubt that the Englishman knows where the back of the net is and could prove to be an excellent third-choice striker option at Villa Park.
