‘NSWE will love’ what Joe Cole incredibly expects Aston Villa to do next season
Joe Cole has astonishingly high expectations of Aston Villa next season after what he has seen them do this time.
Aston Villa have had another impressive season under Unai Emery, having reached the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League and the semi-final of the FA Cup.
The Birmingham-based club are also still in the race to qualify for the Champions League next season, as they sit just three points behind fifth-placed Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
These are certainly exciting times for everyone related to Villa, especially after Nassef Sawiris made a new £100million promise at Villa Park.

Cole makes unbelievable Aston Villa prediction
Aston Villa will be determined to take one step closer to winning a trophy this season when they face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday (26 April).
Cole is confident that Emery and Co. will edge past the Eagles despite succumbing to a late 2-1 defeat against Manchester City in their last Premier League outing.
Competition | Status |
Premier League | 7th with four games left |
Champions League | Knocked out in the quarter-finals |
EFL Cup | Knocked out in the fourth round |
FA Cup | Facing Crystal Palace in semi-finals |
The former attacker went as far as saying that the Villans will win the FA Cup this season before tipping them to compete for the Premier League title next year.
“I can’t look past Aston Villa for this one”, Cole wrote in his column on the Paddy Power website (26 April)
“I’ve gone big on them for next season, I think they will be title contenders, and they’re my pick to win the FA Cup this season.
“For this game, I’m predicting a 2-0 win for Aston Villa.”
Emery to lead Villa to trophy
Aston Villa face either Manchester City or Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup final at Wembley if they beat Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
There is no reason why Emery’s side cannot beat any of those three teams, despite two of them being placed above them in the Premier League.
Therefore, there is a real chance that the Spanish tactician leads the Villa Park outfit to their first trophy since their League Cup triumph in the 1995-96 season, as Cole said.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa competing for the Premier League title next season would do a world of good for them on and off the pitch.
There is no doubt that such a season would boost Villa’s finances significantly, as it would also raise the club’s reputation and commercial appeal.
Therefore, Cole’s early Premier League prediction will be music to NSWE‘s ears, as they look to take the Birmingham outfit to greater heights.
