Unai Emery has surely now made Aston Villa transfer decision on Axel Disasi
Aston Villa’s loss to Manchester City was a major setback for their Champions League ambitions.
The club’s form in recent weeks was nothing short of remarkable going into the game. However, at the Etihad Stadium, a late Matheus Nunes strike ensured the hosts won 2-1.
There were plenty of questions regarding the defeat. Ollie Watkins’ Aston Villa future is unclear after recent exclusions from the starting line-up.
Now, Disasi’s long-term Villa future is up in the air after a poor cameo in the second half.

Disasi a disaster against Man City
Despite a strong start to his Villa career, the Chelsea loanee has been less than impressive in recent weeks.
The 27-year-old has been dropped by Unai Emery in recent matches after struggling to fill in at right-back.
However, the Spaniard gave Disasi a chance to prove himself against Man City as he came on with 30 minutes to go.
Yet, his cameo only exposed his flaws further, with the French defender unable to cope with Jeremy Doku.

According to Sofascore (April 22), Disasi put in a disastrous display where he was largely ineffective throughout his time on the field.
Deployed at right-back, the 27-year-old was dribbled past twice and only won 40 per cent of his ground duels.
He also managed to lose possession three times and committed one foul.
On the ball, he was equally ineffective. Overall, he only managed five touches and four completed passes.
Attacking-wise, he completed nothing, with zero crosses, shots, or dribbles registered.

Unai Emery cannot sign flop Disasi
As the months go on, Disasi is looking more and more like a panic signing. It is hard to see where the defender is meant to fit into the team, despite him now being here for months.
Thankfully, Villa have no obligation to buy Disasi, and Emery should not go in for the defender in the summer.
If the club manage to secure Champions League football for a second season running, they may be able to attract a far more suitable candidate to replace Diego Carlos.
Disasi has made it clear in recent weeks that he does not possess the ability needed at Villa to take the club to the next level
