Sky Sports shares breaking Marcus Rashford transfer news at Aston Villa

Aston Villa have now seen a fresh Marcus Rashford transfer update emerge ahead of the summer.

The England international has had a largely positive spell since moving to Villa Park from Manchester United in the winter window.

This has seen the 27-year-old net three and assist five in claret and blue, catching the eye of many throughout the Premier League.

With that being said, it is little surprise that transfer speculation continues to follow Rashford around, especially as the transfer window looms.

Aston Villa loanee Rashford considering future

The forward undoubtedly has qualities, but after falling out with Ruben Amorim, it did appear that he has no future at Old Trafford.

This has allowed Unai Emery’s side to step in and take advantage to take the Englishman off their hands, much to their benefit this campaign.

In his most recent outing, the versatile attacker netted from the penalty spot against Manchester City, which so nearly secured a point at the Etihad.

With at least five games remaining this season, Rashford’s future will soon come into question, and now Sky Sports News (22 April) has shared a damming update.

The Villa loanee isn’t ruling out any options regarding his future right now, with a playing return to Manchester United even on the cards.

The 27-year-old will decide on his future when the season ends, with the chance to remain at Aston Villa still on the table ahead of the new campaign.

There is still a high level of interest from other clubs across England and abroad, with Barcelona continuing to monitor the forward after being linked with a January move.

Aston Villa must convince Rashford to stay

The Villans have an option to buy the Englishman in the summer, but whether they take that choice could rely on their spot in European football.

If Emery can secure Champions League football, there is little reason why Rashford wouldn’t want to remain in B6 beyond this season.

With that being said, a return to Old Trafford for the Manchester United academy product would certainly be appealing if he and Amorim can put aside their differences.
