‘Harry Kane to replace Marcus Rashford at Aston Villa’ as shock transfer claim emerges
Aston Villa have been mooted as a potential landing spot for Harry Kane if the Englishman leaves Bayern Munich.
As of now, Villa’s only focus will be on what happens on the pitch, with Champions League qualification to be sealed and an FA Cup semi-final to attend to in the coming weeks.
Only when their season is finished will their attentions turn to the summer transfer window, where they will have the opportunity to further the progress made under Unai Emery.
Despite an aggregagte defeat, Villa went toe-to-toe with PSG, one of Europe’s great, showcasing just how close this team is achiecing something special.
With that in mind, Teddy Sheringham has tipped the Villans to complete a signing that would definitely push them closer to that.

Sheringham tips Villa to sign Kane from Bayern
Transfer rumours have already started for Aston Villa, though very few would have anticipated seeing Kane’s name mooted for a switch to Villa Park.
However, Sheringham has urged Villa to make the signing in a bid to bolster their future ambitions. As quoted by GOAL, he said: “You’re also looking at a team like Aston Villa, they might want to go a step further. He is a top player and the finished article, he can give you two or three years, so teams will go for him. He is a commodity that people want.”
Bayern | Games | Goals | Assists |
Kane | 28 | 24 | 7 |
Now, it’s hard to see anything coming of this, but with Marcus Rashford likely to return to Manchester United, it’s fair to say Kane would be a shrewd replacement, and maybe more.
This seems like the longshot of the century when it comes to transfer news, but it doesnt take away from the calibre of player that Villa will actually be able to attract if they can secure Champions League football again next season.

Unai Emery must secure Champions League football for Aston Villa
Recruitment plans will be put on hold for Aston Villa for now, with five games left to be played in the Premier League and what many will be hoping will be a cup final to join that.
Villa currently sit level on points with Chelsea, who occupy the last Champions League spot, with Forest also sandwiched between, though they do have a game in hand.
Unai Emery will be hoping his side can be in the Champions League once again next season, and maybe go one step further than they did this time around.
