Man United fans react to what happened to Marcus Rashford v PSG- ‘He’s finished’

Manchester United fans quickly jumped on Marcus Rashford after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Luis Enrique’s team won 3-1 at Parc des Princes on 9 April despite an early scare from the Villans in the first half.

Morgan Rogers gave Unai Emery’s team the lead against the Ligue 1 outfit before the hosts eventually made an emphatic comeback.

Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored stunning goals before Nuno Mendes added a third in the dying minutes of the match, and while the French club’s attackers showed up, the Lions were left wanting more from the likes of Rashford.

Rashford slammed by Man United fans as PSG beat Villa

Emery made a big call to rely on the Man United loanee as his starting number nine over the likes of Ollie Watkins and Marco Asensio.

The England international played 79 minutes before eventually being substituted for Watkins, who has been a reliable outlet for the Spanish manager over the years.

After Rashford’s poor showing, the Red Devils’ supporters took to social media to express their discontent with him, with one user on X saying “he’s finished”.

Other Man United supporters joked about the 27-year-old forward going missing and were baffled by his selection in the first place.

Villa Park will be bouncing for second leg v PSG

Rashford looked lost at Parc des Princes as PSG dominated the Villans in the second half, but the tie’s not done yet.

The Man United loanee will have a chance to redeem himself at Villa Park on 15 April as Enrique’s team will travel to England for the second leg.

Emery will be frustrated that the Villans conceded a goal in stoppage time as a 2-1 result would’ve been easier to claw their way back from.

Villa will have to work their socks off to overcome a two-goal deficit at home, but the Parisians have shown their fragility in the Champions League over the years.

The Spanish manager was in charge of the Ligue 1 outfit when they let a four-goal lead slip away against Barcelona in 2017.

Emery will have massive decisions to make for the reverse fixture, and Rashford may lose his spot in the starting lineup after an underwhelming display.

The Lions are competing on other fronts and must get past Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday (12 April) before they can think about PSG.
