Declan Rice reacts as Rogers sends three-word warning after Aston Villa loss
Aston Villa fell to a 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, but there was a big positive to take from the night at the Parc des Princes.
Morgan Rogers opened the scoring against the run of play at PSG, but Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes struck to set a mammoth task for Villa in the second leg.
Rogers was outstanding again on a difficult night for Villa, as Unai Emery’s side were penned in by the relentless attacking force of PSG, and he took his goal well after an excellent move.
The England international has now issued a rallying cry ahead of the second leg, and another Champions League goalscorer from this week has now reacted.

Rogers took to Instagram to issue a warning to PSG after the first leg, ahead of the return trip to Villa Park next week.
The 22-year-old posted a picture of his goal celebration, with the caption “it’s not over,” with Villa refusing to admit defeat ahead of the second leg.

Aston Villa prepare for comeback against PSG
Aston Villa and Rogers will have to mount an unlikely comeback against PSG if they are to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
However, a two-goal deficit is not impossible to come back from, especially given PSG’s history in the competition.
Emery was PSG manager when they threw away a four-goal lead against Barcelona in 2017, and they were also eliminated against Manchester United in 2019 after winning the first leg 2-0, with United winning 3-1 at the Parc Des Princes.
Villa will need Rogers at his best, and may also bring Ollie Watkins back into the side, as they seek an early goal against PSG at Villa Park to begin their unlikely comeback.
When Emery was last in the Champions League semi-finals, his Villarreal side went 2-0 up against Liverpool in the second leg, but saw their lead collapse in the second half.
The Basque manager will not only want to reach the semis again, but go one step further, with a tie against Real Madrid or another old club Arsenal on offer.
