Kamara ‘to make Aston Villa contract decision’ amid Liverpool transfer news
Boubacar Kamara might soon have the choice between signing a new contract at Aston Villa or moving to a Premier League rival.
Unai Emery has transformed Villa since he arrived in the West Midlands.
The Villans still have an FA Cup semi-final and a UEFA Champions League quarter-final against PSG to compete in this season. However, for all of Emery’s hard work, the Spaniard’s side likely wouldn’t be where they are this season without Kamara.
Therefore, Emery will no doubt be keen to keep hold of the midfielder, although it looks as though other clubs in the Premier League could try to make that difficult.

Kamara could be offered £125,000-a-week to sign a new contract in Birmingham. However, offers from some big Premier League clubs could see the 25-year-old have his head turned.

As reported by TBR Football (4 April), Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea have all watched Kamara this season as they consider their midfield options ahead of the summer.
However, ex-Villa scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – expects Kamara to commit his long-term future to Villa.
“Kamara will have two years left on his deal in the summer,” King said.
“Therefore, the ball is very much in Villa’s court. They will dictate what happens this summer, and the offer of a new contract after a good season shows that Villa have faith in him and they want to make him a central part of the team.
“Therefore, I imagine that an improved contract will be forthcoming. I’m sure Kamara will sign the contract. Villa are the club that brought him and they have improved him as a footballer because he has been used regularly.”

Villa need to keep hold of Kamara
If Villa lose Kamara to a Premier League rival, it would be a huge step backward.
Emery has pushed the club forward in recent seasons. However, if they want to continue to grow, they’ve got to keep hold of their star players.
