‘Marcus Rashford is cooking’ – Aston Villa fans stunned after what he did for England

Aston Villa loanee Marcus Rashford has continued his personal road to redemption during the international break and stunned fans in the win over Latvia.

Thomas Tuchel’s undefeated streak as England manager was extended to two games on Monday (24 March) as the Three Lions comfortably defeated Latvia 3-0 at Wembley.

Goals from Reece James, Harry Kane, and Eberechi Eze wrapped up a commanding performance that has left England top of their World Cup 2026 qualification group.

Rashford was once again part of that team as he was given the chance to start again under Tuchel, despite being a surprising squad selection in the first place after his underwhelming season.

Marcus Rashford is finding his best form again

The 27-year-old joined Villa on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window in a bid to get his career back on track after struggling for game time under Ruben Amorim, and he’s been making positive steps in that direction ever since.

Rashford has provided three assists for Villa and his hard work under Unai Emery has been rewarded by Tuchel via a recall to international football.

The new England boss might have had to answer questions about Rashford’s inclusion in the squad, but that hasn’t stopped him from starting the much-talked-about forward in both games during this international break.

The Three Lions star continued to prove his naysayers wrong against Latvia by creating six chances during his time on the pitch, with no player creating more.
