Brentford v Aston Villa result predicted by supercomputer

Aston Villa will be looking to break their poor run of form against Brentford and earn their second win in their last five Premier League matches on Saturday.

The Villans have had a bit of a topsy-turvy season thus far, with Unai Emery’s men currently sitting 10th in the table.

Villa’s last Premier League game against Crystal Palace ended 4-1 in the Eagles’ favour after what was arguably Villa’s worst performance of the season.

They may only be five points adrift of the top four spots with 10 games to go, but if they don’t get back to winning ways soon, it’s hard to see how they’ll earn a place in the top four.

Aston Villa predicted to have tough time against Brentford

Although the Villans may be coming off the back of a 3-1 win against Club Brugge in the Champions League, their performance was less than convincing.

Emery’s team were only on the front foot for a few spells throughout the game, with the likes of Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins failing to have all that much of an impact.

With this in mind, the Opta Analyst’s latest predictions have only given Villa a 32-per-cent chance of coming away with a win against Thomas Frank’s men.

Brentford, on the other hand, have been given a 42-per-cent likelihood of winning the clash, with the remaining 26 per cent leaning towards the game ending in a draw.

Villa need to prove the supercomputer wrong against Frank’s men

Last season was one of the Villans’ best in recent memory.

They managed to finish in one of the top four places and earn qualification to the Champions League, which has resulted in them beating teams such as Bayern Munich already this term.

The Premier League table as it stands.

However, over the last few weeks, their form has dropped off massively with most of their players failing to perform to the standards expected of them.

If Emery wants to show that his team are serious contenders for the top four, he needs to ensure that they leave the Gtech with all three points to their name.

Frank has once again led the Bees through a fairly impressive campaign, with just four points separating them from the Villans.

Only time will tell what the future holds, but if Villa want to prove they still have what it takes to compete with the best, then beating Brentford will be the first step towards them doing that.
