Jack Grealish ‘to quit Manchester City’ after Marcus Rashford move to Aston Villa
Marcus Rashford’s loan move to Aston Villa seems to have been exactly what he needed to save his career.
The 27-year-old found himself out of favour at Manchester United due to a dip in form and seemingly clashing with Ruben Amorim.
However, since making the loan move to Villa Park during the winter transfer window, he looks refreshed with three assists in six appearances across all competitions.

Jack Grealish back for Rashford way out
Former Villa boy Jack Grealish has found himself under scrutiny after he was seen leaving a pub looking a bit unsteady on his feet.
Although it was his downtime, some have criticised the state he was in, pointing out that with his side having a poor season, by their own standards, this may not have been the best way to be pictured.
Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist were left discussing on talkSPORT (4 March, 9:26) what is next for Grealish and made a Rashford comparison.
When asked if Grealish needs to find a way out of Manchester City, McCoist replied: “I think he does.
“I just think he needs, I don’t know, but is it the kind of Rashford, I don’t think he’s in the same boat as Rashford in terms of, I mean Rashford I think had to get away because he wasn’t doing himself justice at Manchester United and needed a challenge.
“But Jack, I don’t think he’s really getting the opportunity or enough opportunity at City and it doesn’t look to me as though that’s going to change and for that reason, I think he’s got to go and get playing.”
Grealish struggling away from Aston Villa
Although there have been some jibes on both sides since Grealish departed from Villa Park, they will no doubt be very appreciative of the winger signing a new contract which allowed them to cash in heavily when he did make the move away.
However, Grealish is not having the best time in Manchester of late and since his move, he has struggled to consistently replicate the same levels that he was showing at Villa Park.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |
213 | 32 | 41 |
With Manchester City performing well below the levels they have set at The Etihad this season, it has also made that spotlight shine even brighter.
It would be a massive surprise to see Villa sign someone like Grealish any time soon, but if he is watching how well Rashford is doing so far at his former club, there will surely be some envy as he longs to perform that way too.
Nevertheless, we could well see Grealish inspired by the current loanee at Villa and make a move away from Manchester in the summer.
