Phil Foden reacts to Morgan Rogers message after Aston Villa v Chelsea
Morgan Rogers has received recognition from Manchester City star Phil Foden after the 2-1 win over Chelsea.
The Villans took a step closer to securing a second successive Champions League berth with a comeback victory at Villa Park (22 February).
Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio grabbed the headlines with the former assisting both of the latter’s goals in the contest.
However, despite their exploits, Rogers is the one who has been the subject of praise from one of England’s biggest stars.

Rogers can reach another level for Villa
Rodgers has started 25 of the B6 outfit’s 26 Premier League fixtures so far, only missing the 2-1 win over Leicester (4 January) in a remarkable season for the 22-year-old.
The Three Lions star has enjoyed a stunning breakout campaign for the Villans, notching six goals and four assists in 26 Premier League matches this season and earning his first two caps for the England national team.
The former West Brom ace has emerged as one of Unai Emery’s biggest and most reliable threats and also notched a hat-trick in the Champions League victory over Celtic (29 January).
He does not seem phased by increased competition in the squad from the likes of Rashford, Asensio, and Donyell Malen, who were brought into the Midlands club in the winter transfer window.
If he continues on his current trajectory, he could be right up there with Foden as one of the best British players in the game and could find himself attracting interest from the biggest clubs and starring under Thomas Tuchel for his country.
If he does take that next step and become one of the country’s best players, will the Villans be able to maintain Champions League football to match his abilities, only time will tell.
