Milan Skriniar sends message as Aston Villa confirm late deadline day agreement
Milan Skriniar sent a three-word message to Marco Asensio on social media after a deadline day move to Aston Villa was confirmed.
The Villans completed a loan swoop for the Spain international on 3 February, agreeing a straight loan deal until the end of the season from PSG.
After announcing his switch to Villa Park, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to introduce him to the supporters in B6.
His former teammate in Paris, Skriniar, reacted to this post by saying: “Let’s go brother. Enjoy.”
Milan Skriniar reacts as Marco Asensio deal done at Aston Villa
After letting go of Emi Buendia earlier in the window, there was a need for an attacking midfield replacement for the rest of the campaign.
Unai Emery opted to bring in three-time Champions League winner Asensio who could prove to be a useful asset as the season goes on.
It is certainly interesting to see him receive a message from Skriniar who was also linked with a move to the Premier League with Villa during the winter [L’Equipe].
The former Inter Milan star looked to be an ideal alternative to Diego Carlos who departed for Fenerbache, but no deal went through.

If the window had gone another way, maybe Asensio could have been joined by the Slovakia international in B6 rather than just sending messages.
