Emery agrees on Marcus Rashford transfer as NSWE advance at Aston Villa
Unai Emery has given the green light for Aston Villa to try and sign Marcus Rashford on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist reports (1 February) that the Villa board are trying to advance talks to strike a deal and have approached Rashford’s camp already.
Negotiations between the two are now ongoing with an expensive deal potentially on the cards before the 3 February transfer deadline.
Aston Villa keen on Marcus Rashford
It’s clear that Rashford’s future lies away from Old Trafford and with that in mind, you can understand why Villa might want to make a move in the next 48 hours.
Although the 27-year-old has struggled to shine at Old Trafford for some time now, in good form, there is no doubt that he is a great player and could be an asset to any side.
There would be no guarantee that the attacker could just walk into the Villain’s side given Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins have done so well, but competition is vital at this level.

With Jhon Duran having now departed the Midlands club, having different attacking options can’t hurt, with big money also now available to spend if wanted.
If Emery could secure this deal and get Rashford back to his best form though, this could be a deal that works out very nicely for player and club.
