Aston Villa to confirm Rashford deal with Man United, blockbuster news revealed

Aston Villa are set to confirm the signing of Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, according to Neil Moxley.

Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier on Saturday (1 February) that talks over a deal for the England international is in its final stages.

Moxley of The Express has now reported via his personal X account that the agreement is “close to being sorted”, with a confirmation imminent.

Marcus Rashford to join Aston Villa after Unai Emery talks

As per Romano, Rashford has talked to Unai Emery about the transfer and is seemingly prepared to work under the Spanish tactician in Birmingham.

The Italian journalist also revealed that discussions over the inclusion of an option to make the loan move permanent for Villa are also ongoing.

Therefore, it is only a matter of time before Rashford officially becomes an Aston Villa player, with the attacker expected to put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.

Rashford could either lead the line for Emery’s side, providing competition to Ollie Watkins, or play down the left-hand side in Jacob Ramsey’s place.

The Villa Park outfit are also in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Marco Asensio [Fabrice Hawkins].

It remains to be seen if they will pursue their interest in the Spain international once they get the deal for Rashford across the line.

Emery may also add another centre-back to his ranks before the transfer window closes on Monday, 3 February.

In other Aston Villa news, Tottenham have made a move to hijack Villa’s deal for another player.
