Aston Villa reach 2027 agreement, ‘revised deal’ set to be signed – Ornstein
Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Emi Buendia to extend his contract until 2027, according to David Ornstein.
The transfer specialist reported on 26 January that the Argentine has agreed to “revised terms” at Villa Park, extending his contract which was due to expire in 2026 by 12 months.
The 28-year-old is attracting interest from sides in Europe and Saudi Arabia but the Villans aren’t planning to let the attacking midfielder go.
Aston Villa agree new Emi Buendia contract
The former Norwich City man has most recently attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen who could offer him more regular minutes than he’s getting under Unai Emery.

This could suit all parties given that since returning from a long-term injury issue, the attacker has been utilised sparingly.
The ex-Getafe was handed a start against Monaco in the Champions League and put in a positive performance despite falling to a 1-0 defeat.
Now with this contract extension is on the table, it appears that Buendia does have a future in B6 which will be interesting to see across the second half of the season.
