Gabby Agbonlahor believes Celtic supporters have bought tickets to stand amongst Aston Villa fans ahead of their Champions League clash on Wednesday.

With Unai Emery's team fighting for automatic progression to the round of 16 and the Hoops already securing their spot in the play-offs, their meeting at Villa Park promises excitement on 29 January.

Brenden Rodgers' side will travel down to Birmingham for the European clash, and with a passionate fanbase behind them, there will likely be more in attendance than expected.

Speaking live via talkSPORT [23 January, 7:25am], Agbonlahor said: "I've heard you can't get a ticket, there are Celtic fans with tickets in the Villa end as well, and the surrounding pubs are going to have a good payday."

Celtic fans to take over at Villa Park v Aston Villa?

There is no doubt that the Hoops will have thousands of travelling fans coming down to Villa Park, celebrating their spot in the play-offs, but buying tickets in the wrong end would be awful.

This is exactly how fights break out between football supporters, and if those Celtic fans are found out at Villa Park, things could escalate while the teams battle away on the pitch.

Hopefully, this will not be the case when the two sides go head-to-head next week as Emery's side will not need any distractions if they are to secure an automatic spot, such as clashing fans in the stands.

Aston Villa's stadium Villa Park is one of the most famous in the country.

The Villans started the campaign so brightly, beating Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna, but recent performances have left a lot to be desired, but that must change against the Hoops.

Having most recently lost 1-0 to Monaco on Tuesday (21 January), Villa's season very much relies on their upcoming clash against the Scottish giants, and the game promises to be an exciting one.
