Aston Villa suffer multi-million transfer rejection as agreement collapses
Loic Bade has decided to stay at Sevilla rather than join Aston Villa, according to Alberto Fernandez.
The Spanish journalist reported on 23 January that the Villans had reached an agreement worth £27million (€32m) for the French defender.
The 24-year-old has since made the personal decision to remain with the La Liga side for the project under head coach Xavier Garcia Pimienta.
Sevilla defender Loic Bade rejects Aston Villa move
After letting Diego Carlos depart Villa Park for Fenerbache on Thursday (23 January), this rejection will come as a blow to Unai Emery.
The ex-Rennes defender looked set to become a Villan before the 3 February deadline as Monchi and Co. strived towards an agreement with the Spanish side.
Now it appears that Villa aren’t going to get their apparent main target of the window as personal terms seem to be a hurdle they can’t jump.
It will be interesting now to see if the B6 club go back in with an offer to tempt Bade to Villa Park or if new options are considered with less than two weeks remaining until deadline day.
