Emery must start Buendia for Aston Villa, his record v Everton speaks for itself
Unai Emery could hand Emi Buendia an Aston Villa start given his recent record against Everton.
The Villans travel to Goodison on Wednesday night (15 January) as they go in search of their third straight win in all competitions.
The away side will be without the likes of Ross Barkley and John McGinn which could see Emery utilise his squad to get one up on David Moyes.
Looking at his available options, the Spaniard could trust in the diminutive Argentine after his recent performances against the Toffees.

The 28-year-old has had a tough season so far as he has struggled to recover from an ACL injury which ruled him out of the entirety of the last campaign.
This has seen the former Norwich City man feature in just 62 Premier League minutes in the first half of the season while having yet to contribute a single-goal involvement.
This could change at Goodison given his record against the Toffees since signing for the Villans back in the summer of 2021.
In his four appearances against the Blue side of Merseyside, the attacking midfielder has scored three goals which is the highest tally he has racked up against a single side in the Premier League.
This bodes well for a trip to L4 on Wednesday (15 January) which also ties in with a positive performance against West Ham last week.

The ex-Getafe man also made one pass into the final third while also chipping in defensively with one clearance while also winning two duels which is a plus.
It is about time that Emery puts his faith in Buendia and what better opportunity will he get than against a side he historically does well in?
