Aston Villa ready to terminate attacker deal amid behind-the-scenes concern
Aston Villa could recall Samuel Iling-Junior from his loan at Bologna, according to Jacob Tanswell.
The report in The Athletic [29 December] claims that the Villans are concerned by a lack of game time for the 21-year-old and will make a decision on his future next week.
It also states the England under-21 international would be allowed to join another club on loan because he has not featured in a competitive match for the Villa Park club.
The promising talent has played just 12 times for Vincenzo Italiano’s side and has not made a start in a Serie A match.
Aston Villa should recall Samuel Iling-Junior
The English youngster was signed from Juventus in the summer in a double swoop with Enzo Barrenechea as a part of the deal for Douglas Luiz.
He was immediately sent back to Italy on loan but the move has not worked out the way Unai Emery hoped that it would.
The former Chelsea academy product has scored just once in 12 matches for the Emilia-Romagna club in a disappointing loan spell so far.

Villa should recall Iling-Junior and find him another loan move where he can thrive rather than struggling for regular game time.
Emery could choose to keep the winger in Birmingham and utilise his talents in his squad which would spell disaster for former record-signing Emi Buendia who has already struggled to impose himself in the manager’s plans.
One thing is for sure, he cannot be allowed to stay at Bologna and not develop, Villa need to recall him.
