FA to investigate unseen incident during Newcastle United 3-0 Aston Villa
Keith Hackett expects the Football Association to investigate after Jason Tindall was shown a red card during the Newcastle United versus Aston Villa match.
Tindall watched the second half of Thursday’s (26 December) 3-0 loss for Villa from the stands after being punished for an unseen incident at the interval.
The Newcastle coach is alleged to have exchanged words with a member of the Aston Villa staff in the tunnel area at St James’ Park.
And former PGMOL chief Hackett now expects the FA to further look into the matter.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, he said: “Tindall will certainly receive a touchline ban and fine. The Football Association will investigate.”

Villa had Duran sent off during the first half of the contest at St James’ Park, which could potentially lead to an extended ban.
The visitors were 1-0 down at that point but went on to lose 3-0 in a damaging defeat for Unai Emery and his side.
Tindall was constantly barking at Emery and it is no surprise to see he was red carded given how worked up he was before half-time.
Eddie Howe’s right-hand man loves being front and centre of everything, but now he faces watching Newcastle’s next game from the stands.
