Tyrone Mings finish at Aston Villa after £6.6m January transfer update

Tyrone Mings could leave Aston Villa in January if a deal for a new centre-back is completed.

The England international has been a stalwart since joining while the Villans were a Championship side and is well-appreciated by supporters.

The 31-year-old proved against Brentford that he does have something to add but after a long-term injury, a replacement could be useful with the future in mind.

Monchi and Co. appear to be moving quickly ahead of the January window which could spell the end for Mings moving forward in B6.

Tyrone Mings could leave Aston Villa after update

Ahead of the winter window opening, Villa may already have their first signing in the shape of Yasin Ozcan from Turkish side Kasimpasa.

A £6.6million deal has been agreed and the 18-year-old now looks set to fly to England in the first week of January to undergo a medical [IHA].

The Turkyie Under-21 international is left-footed and has the versatility to also play as a left-back when required which could make him an ideal alternative moving forward for Pau Torres.

This could cause a problem for Mings as Unai Emery may be more likely to utilise the youngster in the second half of the season rather than the ex-Bournemouth man.

Given that £6.6m is going to be spent on the defender, it is unlikely that his game time is going to be heavily limited.

The Villa boss can be hard to impress but is always willing to reward hard work, Morgan Rogers being a key example of this.

With that being said, if Ozcan is to come in and stay for the rest of the campaign it could prove to be the end of the road for Mings at Villa Park.
