Jhon Duran exit news as PSG send monster proposal to Aston Villa
Paris Saint-Germain have presented Aston Villa with a “monster” offer for Jhon Duran, AreaNapoli reports.
According to the Italian news outlet’s website [22 December], the Ligue 1 champions are prepared to blow interested parties out of the water by offering the Colombian between £5.8-£6.6million a year to leave the Villans in January.
Aston Villa could be tempted to part ways with Duran if presented with a “ridiculous offer”, with Napoli also interested in launching a January bid after becoming “bewitched” with the striker [Il Mattino].

The 21-year-old will be a hot commodity when the transfer window opens on 1 January, and Unai Emery must be prepared to fend off interest in his breakout star.
Duran leads the goalscoring charts at Villa Park this season with 12 goals in 25 outings, averaging just under a goal every other game despite starting only six times.
Emery now has a difficult decision to make – while Ollie Watkins has registered 12 goal contributions this term, the 27-year-old has recently been dropped to the bench in place of Duran and with an eight-year difference between the pair, the Englishman could be the one on the chopping block.
Furthermore, the reported £49m asking price will undoubtedly not be enough for Emery to sanction a sale halfway through the season, with Champions League knockout football awaiting Villa Park but PSG have the backing to match any number put in front of them if they want the Colombian.

To be pragmatic, Duran is matching Watkins tit-for-tat this year and put pen to paper on a new deal extending his stay at Aston Villa until 2030 in October – he should be the future of Emery’s frontline.
However, PSG could offer the Villans a fee too tempting to turn down, but if they are serious about becoming a regular Champions League outfit, Emery cannot afford to make the wrong choice, and the right one is staring him in the face.
