Cole Palmer messages Aston Villa star who Chelsea fans want Maresca to sign
Cole Palmer sent a message to Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers after he registered a goal and assist in a 2-1 win over Manchester City on Saturday.
Rogers played a crucial role for Villa in their 2-1 win over Man City on 21 December, setting up Jhon Duran for the opener before dispatching the second himself with Villa leapfrogging City in the process.
The 22-year-old was simply unstoppable at Villa Park and his performance led to messages from several Premier League players with Dom Solanke labelling him a “serious player” but Palmer was another to send a message.
Rogers uploaded a pic to Instagram after the win, showcasing his ‘cold’ celebration which has been connected with Palmer in recent seasons.
The Chelsea star responded with a simple reply that read: “MORGZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ” followed by a love heart emoji.

Given how impressive Rogers has been this season, it hardly comes as a surprise to see opposition fans clamouring for their club to sign him but that is certainly the case at Chelsea.
Rogers has been outstanding for Villa under Unai Emery and his development is progressing each and every week and it does seem like only a matter of time until he is snapped up by a top, top club although he certainly won’t come cheap.
That knowledge seemingly hasn’t put off Chelsea supporters who are evidently desperate for their side to make a move for the England international.
One thing that seems certainly unlikely is any January sale for Rogers. He is far too important to Villa for any sale to be considered regardless of the price but summer interest seems inevitable.
Rogers has quickly established himself as one of the worst dangerous forwards in the Premier League and Villa are extremely fortunate to have him.
