Aston Villa may lose Diego Carlos to AC Milan in Fikayo Tomori transfer twist
Aston Villa could sell Diego Carlos if the “right offer” comes in amid links with AC Milan star Fikayo Tomori, according to Dan Bardell.
The Villans have been linked to the England international as the Serie A outfit are willing to sanction a deal in January [Calciomercato].
If the 26-year-old was to come in at Villa Park, Carlos may be on the chopping block and could even move the other way to San Siro.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell understands that the Rossoneri wanted the Brazilian in the past and Villa could let the defender go if an acceptable bid comes in.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “It isn’t going to be one for January. Emery won’t want to disrupt the squad too much.
“Carlos has played a lot of football this season for someone the club were willing to get rid of in the summer.
“He has been linked to Milan in the past so there’s a link there. Tomori isn’t a typical Villa signing; he’s a good defender and we’ve conceded a lot of goals at times but we do have good defenders at the club.
“There is no doubt that Carlos is on a huge wage and Villa would probably move him on if the right offer came in.“
Aston Villa and AC Milan could make Diego Carlos and Fikayo Tomori swap deal
The Villa man has come under pressure this campaign after making multiple defensive errors that have cost Unai Emery’s side.
At 31, Carlos could be sold to accommodate a younger defensive option in a role which may suit Tomori if he was to come in.

The ex-Chelsea man would certainly represent an exciting signing among supporters but would ultimately depend on the fee involved in a potential swap deal.
