Aston Villa manager Unai Emery must axe Morgan Rogers after his performance in the 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest.

The Villans succumbed to a devastating defeat at the City Ground on Saturday (14 December) as the hosts scored two late goals with VAR controversy being the main talking point.

Jhon Duran had given Emery's side the lead in the 63rd minute but goals from Nikola Milenkovic and Anthony Elanga turned the contest on its head.

Rogers failed to make an impact on the game in a disappointing display for the 22-year-old.

He may get that chance sooner rather than later after Rogers disappointing display on Saturday.

While he did manage seven touches in the opposition box, he only completed two out of six attempted dribbles for a success rate of 33 per cent.

He attempted to contribute defensively, making three recoveries and winning six ground duels out of 16 contested for a 38 per cent success rate.

It was a very underwhelming performance from the Englishman and one that could cost him his place in the starting XI.
