Aston Villa could pre-agree Nicolò Fagioli transfer with Juventus in December
Bryan King has speculated that Aston Villa could look to pre-agree the signing of Nicolò Fagioli with Juventus this month.
The ex-Villa scout thinks the club should already be lining up a deal for the midfielder ahead of January, just as the West Midlands outfit are mooted to be doing for another player.
As reported by TBR Football [5 December], Juventus are willing to sanction the January sale of Aston Villa and Tottenham target Fagioli.
Therefore, King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – thinks the Villans should already be looking to strike an agreement ahead of Tottenham.
“If this is the player that Villa think they need, then they need to make sure a deal is lined up ahead of January,” King said.
“It is one thing talking about it, it is another thing putting the deal in place. Clubs are usually putting these deals in place now so that when January approaches the deal is ready, which Villa could be doing with Fagioli.
“Other clubs are interested in this player. Therefore, if he is available, they need to present him with the best option, and they do have Champions League football on offer, which could help.”
Aston Villa to sign Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli?
Villa have already been mooted to beat Tottenham to the signing of another player in Europe.
Therefore, just because the North London side have also been linked, that shouldn’t put Unai Emery’s side off making a move for Fagioli.

Villa’s squad depth has been exposed at times this season, as the club looks to juggle the demands of the Premier League with the UEFA Champions League.
Therefore, Emery would no doubt appreciate some reinforcements in January.
In other Aston Villa news, one player could be sold to one of the club’s Midland rivals in a January transfer twist.
