Aston Villa eye Malik Tillman deal as PSV transfer fee revealed

Aston Villa are interested in PSV midfielder Malik Tillman but will have to potentially pay around £30million to sign him, according to TBR Football.

The news outlet reports [23 November] that the Villans have been keeping tabs on the USA international since his time at Rangers.

Tillman made his move to the Red and Whites permanent this summer after initially arriving on loan from Bayern Munich, but the Bavarians have a £30m buy-back clause, which the Eredivisie outfit could look to get from other outfits wanting to sign the 22-year-old.

Unai Emery could unlock Malik Tillman at Aston Villa

The American has shown immense potential so far, and Unai Emery seems to be the right man to unlock his full potential.

Villa have relied on some exceptional youngsters during the Spaniard’s time at the club, with Jacob Ramsey catching many people’s attention in the last few years.

Emery has also turned Morgan Rogers into a pivotal first-team star after his move from Middlesbrough in January 2024.

The 22-year-old has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Villans in the current campaign, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Rogers’ form has also garnered the attention of the England national team, and the midfielder was handed his debut for the Three Lions in their 3-0 victory over Greece in the Nations League on 14 November.

Tillman might have several top sides looking to acquire his services, but Villa Park looks like the best destination for the American, considering the trajectory the Villans have taken with Emery in charge.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the 22-year-old and whether the Lions will spend a considerable amount of money to get him.
