Boubacar Kamara update emerges for Aston Villa v Crystal Palace post Grade 1 injury

Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara will not be fit to take on Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that while it is only a Grade 1 setback, he will not be ready to make a first-team return so quickly.

Unai Emery’s side play host to Palace at Villa Park on Saturday, 23 November.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Next steps for him are to be fully assessed to see if he is truly injured or if it was just tightness.

Best case would be just tightness whereas worst case is a higher grade muscle injury.

This one does seem like a Grade 1 setback but the first weekend after the international break will come too soon for him.

Boubacar Kamara has barely featured for Aston Villa this season

The France international has played just three Premier League games this term and all those have been off the bench.

He has managed to feature in just 33 league minutes which is not something he or Emery would’ve wanted at the start of the season.

Hopefully, after this injury, he can put his fitness woes in the rear-view mirror and focus on playing regularly for the Villans.

In other Aston Villa news, another player is not expected to play the full game against Crystal Palace.
