Matty Cash injury update emerges ahead of Aston Villa v Crystal Palace
Matty Cash is a doubt for the Aston Villa v Crystal Palace clash due to a calf injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Poland international’s setback is on the milder side and it seems to be of Grade 2 severeity.
Villa play host to Crystal Palace at on 23 November in the Premier League post the resumption of league football after the international break.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Sounds on the milder side, potentially a Grade 2 out of 4.
“In that case, the club are looking at two to three weeks but calf injuries are quite sensitive.
“If he is to be fit for the game next weekend, he will need to be back in full first-team training imminently and will need to clear a late fitness test.“
Matty Cash has been a regular for Aston Villa
The right-back has made six league starts this season and whenever fit, he is Unai Emery’s go-to option in that position.
Last season, he made 29 Premier League apperances and is on course to play more than that this time around if he manages to stay fit.

It remains to be seen whether or not he’s able to recover in time for the Crystal Palace clash.
In other Aston Villa news, another player is not expected to play the full game against Crystal Palace.
