Morgan Rogers could fly again at Aston Villa after brand new developments
Dan Bardell believes Morgan Rogers will only get better after his experience with England ahead of his return to Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old was called up to the Three Lions’ senior side for the first time and made his debut against Greece on Thursday (14 November).
After coming on, the versatile forward provided a pass which eventually saw Jude Bellingham force an own goal from Odisseas Vlachodimos to make it 3-0.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks this experience will only make Rogers better and see him return to his best form for the Villans.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “It will give him a big boost to be involved, come on, get his first cap and be involved in a goal.
“I think it will help Villa, he’ll come on in the next game, just getting minutes for England will make him realise how good he is with the company he’s kept in that squad.
“He’ll come back to Villa, it’ll give him a boost and we’ll start to see him fly again because he’s not been as good in the last few games.
“The call-up probably came at a time where he was in a bit of a lull, even if he’s been impacting games with goals and assists.“
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers makes England debut
Not many people would have imagined that the youngster signed from Middlesbrough would go on to be one of Villa’s most important players and an England international so soon.
This is certainly now the case and it was an excellent feeling for supporters to see Rogers grab his first cap for the Three Lions and make a positive impact.

The ex-Manchester City talent has been arguably the best player under Unai Emery this campaign and the Spaniard will be hopeful that this form can be continued and even bettered after this international cameo.
