Jude Bellingham sends three-word message to Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers after ‘dream’ England debut
Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham has told Morgan Rogers he deserved his England debut after the Aston Villa midfielder came on as a substitute against Greece.
The Three Lions took on the Azure & White away from home in the Nations League, with Ollie Watkins and Curtis Jones finding the back of the net and Odysseas Vlachodimos scoring an own goal.
Rogers replaced Anthony Gordon in the 66th minute and took to Instagram after the game, posting a picture of himself with the caption: “When a dream becomes reality. A proud moment for me and my family.”
Bellingham commented: “Deserved my brother.”
Morgan Rogers has shone at Aston Villa
Rogers’ signing went a bit under the radar at Villa, making his way to the club in January 2024, and they subsequently bought the likes of Amadou Onana and Ian Maatsen this summer.
The 22-year-old has caught many people’s eyes with his displays at Villa Park, scoring three goals and providing three assists in all competitions in the current campaign, and it’s unsurprising to see talks of a new contract being offered to the midfielder.
Unai Emery has made the former Middlesbrough star a pivotal part of the team this season, starting him in every Premier League match.
It was only a matter of time before Rogers got his chance to represent England, and it came sooner rather than later as Lee Carsley called up the midfielder after eight players pulled out of the squad ahead of the November internationals.

In the 24 minutes the 22-year-old played against Greece, he created two chances, made one pass into the final third and also made one interception, as per FotMob.
The Villa faithful will undoubtedly be happy about the midfielder getting his debut, but they’ll also hope he doesn’t pick up any injuries as the Three Lions take on Ireland on 17 November.
