Aston Villa to reignite Matias Soule interest after summer bid rejected by Juventus

Aston Villa could reignite interest in Matias Soule at Roma after Juventus declined a bid in the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Tom Collomosse reported to the newspaper’s online edition on 13 November that the 21-year-old is suffering in Rome “like so many of his teammates” due to managerial chaos.

This could see the Villans look to take advantage after wanting the Argentine in the swap deal for Douglas Luiz with the Old Lady.

Thiago Motta’s side declined the offer to seek out a higher fee, which Roma duly paid, after having a positive season out on loan with Frosinone.

Aston Villa could sign Matias Soule from Roma

The Villans have had a somewhat underwhelming start to the season, particularly in the Premier League, which has been compounded by losing their last four games in all competitions.

This has been in part down to a lack of goals with Ollie Watkins being Villa’s top scorer in the Premier League with five.

It appears that there is a lot of pressure piled on young shoulders in Morgan Rogers to get on the ball and make things happen.

After such a good start to the campaign, it isn’t fair to pile the weight of the world on the ex-Manchester City youngster so early in his Villa career.

This is where Soule could prove to be a useful addition for Unai Emery’s side given his ability on the ball and his eye for goal.

The ex-Juve starlet has only netted one Serie A goal this season but has been subject to a revolving door of managers at the Stadio Olympico.

If he was to complete a move to B6, the stability and faith of someone like Emery could give him the foundations to grow as a player and unleash his talents on the Premier League.

In other Aston Villa news, Unai Emery could look to bring in another Serie A star to Villa Park after being described as “remarkable”.
