Aston Villa now have perfect chance to sign Denzel Dumfries in blockbuster deal
Aston Villa could take advantage of an uncertain contract situation at Inter Milan to sign Denzel Dumfries on a cut-price deal in January.
The Villans have been in need of a right back option to provide competition for Matty Cash and to allow Ezri Konsa to thrive at centre back.
Unai Emery would have been hoping that Kosta Nedeljkovic could offer that strength in depth but after making just two starts so far this season, it appears the 18-year-old isn’t yet trusted.
As a result, with the January transfer window fast approaching, the Spaniard could look to bring Dumfries in from Inter Milan.

The Netherlands international is out of contract at San Siro in the summer but is reported to have agreed terms on an extension [Fabrizio Romano, 27 September].
Well over a month later, this deal is still yet to be announced which could hand Monchi the opportunity to step in and bring the right back to Villa Park.
This situation also poses the opportunity to bring the defender in on a cheap deal or even a free transfer if Emery and Co. are willing to wait until the summer.
The 28-year-old could prove to be the perfect right back option for Emery as a physical defender who is comfortable sitting back but also has the quality to charge forward, regularly featuring as a right-wing-back for Inter.
The Champions League finalist would also bring a wealth of experience to a back line which could do with being more shrewd, especially after what Tyrone Mings did against Club Brugge.
Although his contract situation with the Nerazzurri seems set to be resolved, Villa could throw a spanner in the works in attempt to bring the right back in.
