Unai Emery ‘problem’ mooted at Aston Villa in Club Brugge changes prediction
Dan Bardell believes Unai Emery could make two changes to the Aston Villa side against Club Brugge with Diego Carlos and Leon Bailey potentially coming in.
The Villans are preparing for a trip to Belgium on Wednesday 6 November but look set to be without Matty Cash for the Champions League clash.
The Poland international came off in the 4-1 defeat against Tottenham and could force Emery into a change for the upcoming game.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has suggested that Tyrone Mings or Carlos could replace the 27-year-old while also mooting a start for Bailey.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “If Cash is out it’ll be Konsa at right back and either Mings or more likely Diego Carlos coming into the side.
“I’m with that from the start it’s just when it is a midgame change it seems to cause a problem for whatever reason. I think for certain games, the Spurs game was one of them, Villa are better off with Cash at right back.
“With him out, I would expect Konsa to start the game against Brugge.
“I also think Bailey will start and potentially McGinn could move over to the left, that could be something that happens. It may be too early for Kamara, so it’ll probably be Onana and Tielemans again.
“I don’t envisage too many more changes.“
Aston Villa changes mooted for Club Brugge clash
The Villans will be keen to make it four wins from four in Europe’s elite competition so it will be a blow to be without their starting right back.
Konsa struggled against Spurs, conceding three after moving across to right back once Cash had been taken off due to injury.
The England international will be hoping for a better showing against Club Brugge which will also be the case for Bailey who has had a poor start to the campaign.

Emery will be keen for his side to bounce back with a win and the Jamaica international could have a positive impact on the result if he is at his best.
