Jhon Duran to have ‘extortionate’ fee tied into new Aston Villa contract as Arsenal talk emerges
Ty Bracey believes Aston Villa could demand £60m for Jhon Duran after Patrick Vieira mooted him as a dream signing for Arsenal.
The Gunners legend has spoken out about the Colombia international after his electric start to the campaign.
The former France star called him “the right player for Arsenal” [Bettingexpert.com] which could tempt Mikel Arteta and Co. to table a bid for the Villans ace.
Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, doesn’t see the 20-year-old leaving in January but has suggested that £60m would be demanded for his signature in the summer window.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “I don’t think he would leave. I think his new contract will have a big fee attached, it’ll be extortionate, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was upwards of £60m.
“If they want him, there’s a price tag, if he leaves next year potentially, I wouldn’t see it happening for less than £60m.
“He seems to really be enjoying his football at Villa so I’d love for him to stay. I think it might be a mistake to go but if he wants that consistent game time I would understand if he went elsewhere.
“We’ll see what happens but I don’t see him leaving in January.“
Aston Villa could demand £60m from Arsenal for Jhon Duran
It has been a surprisingly brilliant season for the youngster who was so close to making a move away from Villa Park over the summer.
His influence from the bench has been telling with the Colombian scoring several winning goals, including the winner in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

As a result, it isn’t a surprise when elite sides are mentioned in the same sentence as Duran but with a new contract just weeks old, it would take a substantial fee to tempt Emery, Monchi and Co.
